How does NoteBuddy listen to my piano?
NoteBuddy uses your device's microphone and on-device AI to detect which notes you play in real-time. All audio processing happens locally on your device β nothing is sent to our servers.
What practice modes are available?
Follow Mode: the score waits for you to play each note correctly, at your own pace. Adaptive Mode: the cursor follows your playing speed, adapting as you speed up or slow down. Strict Mode: practice with a fixed metronome tempo (BPM) to build rhythm accuracy.
Do I need an internet connection to practice?
You need internet to download scores and sync progress. Once a score is downloaded, you can practice offline.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad β tap your name β Subscriptions β NoteBuddy β Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the billing period.
Can my child use NoteBuddy?
Yes! Parents can create child profiles under their account. All data is managed through the parent account. We comply with children's privacy regulations.
The app isn't detecting my notes correctly. What can I do?
Make sure your device is close to the piano (within 1 meter). Reduce background noise. Check that microphone permission is granted in Settings β NoteBuddy. Acoustic pianos and digital pianos with speakers work best.
